2011 Book List

I used to do this every year on my Xanga account, so I think I will start it back up here.  This year I read 15 books, a far cry from the almost fifty I read back in 2009, but times change.  Reading took a backseat this year, partly because I just didn't want to, and partly because I finished writing my book.

So here's the list!

This was a strange year.  I mostly read things I would never read usually.  Part of that is because I joined the blogging book review sites, pretty much the only thing I blogged about this year... blah.  I probably will be pulling WAY back from that.  I was just so enticed by free books... I couldn't help myself.

I will say this, the last five books on the list are excellent, especially the ones by Philip Reeve.  He is one of my favorite authors and his Hungry City Chronicles is so well-written, with such a diversely spun and imaginative world... it's the kind of writing I aspire to.

I can't say I'll read more books this year, mostly because I've already started writing book two of my series, but let's say this:  I hope to read more good books this year.

Happy New Year!
