ITSN Catchup

Its been a while, and I've been trying new things but most were too small to do a whole post on.  So here is my Newness Review from 6 - 12!

  • I went to Benihana's!  First time at a Japanese Steakhouse.  I did not realize how expensive they were.  But, by getting sushi I managed to leave with only ten dollars out of pocket.  AND I discovered that there is a form of shrimp that I like: grilled!
  • I had ground cherry pie.  Most people won't know what a ground cherry is, or ever taste one.  Well, I can tell you they taste like... ground cherries.  I still have no idea how to describe the taste.
  • I washed my ipod!  A friend had sent me his old one, and although small, it was a wonderful thing.  At the coffee shop when everyone left I could stick in my little ipod instead of spending the last hour and a half of work in complete silence (no customers come in then).  But then I found it at the bottom of the washing machine!  I never do that.  I'll miss my little friend...
  • I discovered I can beatbox.  Late one night on the Emmaus Walk, a couple guys and I decided to make some music.  One told me to try beatboxing into the microphone.  And who would of thunk, it sounded pretty good!  Not great, but good!
  • I went to Georgia for the first time.  Went to visit Adam and Ryan.

Me and the friend I drove down with got up early and went to Tybee Island to witness a spectacular sunrise.  Absolutely beautiful.  I also got to go to the Pirate House with the sibs, walk the riverwalk during Oktoberfest, taste the famous Leopold's ice cream.... it was a great trip.

  •  While there we went to my friend's sister's house for my first ever Slow Country Boil.  For those that don't know, you basically dump a bunch of seafood in a pot, cook it, line the table with paper and then dump the food on top.  Everyone just digs in.  We had crab legs, shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and....
  • Lobster!  My first time with the sea bug.  And you know what?  I wasn't really impressed...
So now we're caught up.  Its been a nice couple of months.  New friends, new experiences, new foods.  Looking forward to the next few news coming my way (hopefully a job!)

What about you?  Any thing new with you?
